I made a techno song

Happy Tuesday, everybody. I have another new thing to post. Call it New Tuesday.

This is ridiculous but I thought it would be funny if I, a non-musician, came out with a song out of the blue. I was listening to the MORTAL KOMBAT theme and decided to challenge myself to figure out how to make something like that. It doesn’t hit nearly as hard but it’s better than I thought I’d be capable of, so I’m proud of myself. It’s on Patreon right now – I might figure out a place to post it for free or lift the paywall or something but until then you can check it out there and let me know if it inspired you to throw a rave or not. Thanks everybody.

  1. Good song, man.And congratulations on learning a new skill in your forties.

Also I don’t know if you’re aware of this but there used to be a TV show that covered a lot of the same ground as your song. Probably just a coincidence.

    I dig it.

Fun fact: I lived in Felicity’s damn dorm at the exact same time as her. Of course, they called it something else, but from exterior shots it was Ruben Hall on 5th Ave and 10th St in Manhattan. Would you be surprised to hear that my dorm room was considerably less spacious than Felicity’s and contained three people? At any rate, anybody with any pretensions to being cool denied watching the show. Personally, I caught Felicity exactly once, and it was a very special date-rape episode. So I’ve never really seen the show. But I’ve still seen more than Vern has!

I hope that you’re going to drop a track in a totally different subgenre of techno, then call yourself DJ No Retreat No Surrender 2
