Yeah, I was confused by the title as well. I saw an extremely beat up print of this in the theater.
And I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this movie Fast Company.

Telf- I agree about Grindhouse. I reckon Deathproof only got to be the second one because Tarantino is a bigger name than Rodriguez. And with Deathproof having characters from PT in it, it would have made more sense.

Correction: Upon closer inspection of IMDB, it turns out Cirio Santiago is dead, so let’s all pour one out on the curb for him. On the plus side, he still has one last movie coming out this year, something called Road Raiders with Michael Madsen. Let’s hope that means the movie is up to Madsen’s usual standard of excellence. Ahem.

RRA – Yeah, The Losers was on TV in the Willis segment when he wakes up in the hotel with Fabienne. “It’s too early in the morning for explosions and war.”

Hey Vern, have you seen any other Cirio Santiago movies? That guy made some really fun stuff back in his day. According to IMDB he’s still out there cranking out weird movies, but back in the 70’s he made some pretty badass female action movies. Check out “Ebony, Ivory, and Jade” or “The Muthers” (about an all-lady pirate operation) sometime if you can find em.

And although the Losers is a bit slow for most of its running time, you gotta admit that the climactic motorcycle assault is pretty rocking.

Wasn’t footage of THE LOSERS shown on a television screen in PULP FICTION? I can’t remember, but I did see LOSERS a long long long time ago, and your review is aces and spades on.

Yup – Fun one should always go second on a double bill. I wonder if Grindhouse would have been more of a success if the goofier Planet Terror had played after the (somewhat) more serious Deathproof.

I remember seeing Black Hawk Down, then sneaking into Behind Enemy Lines. They were both ultimately poor – but the programming worked.
