Very OT, but don't know where else to put this. I'm slightly drunk now, watching Fritz Lang's sublime "Rancho Notorious" (starring Marlene Dietrich, mentioned in this review, which is why I'm writing this here...). The lead character in Notorious is called VERN, and in his badass quest for revenge, he poses as an OUTLAW. If you combie the words OUTLAW and VERN, you get www.outlawvern.com

In other words, "Rancho Notorious" is a movie you ought to check out, review, etc. Would love to hear your take on it, as well as others by Lang, of course...

That guy also doesn't get the scene where the reverend switches from militant ranting to talking about mothers. How does anyone mistake that for a reluctance to use the word motherfucker?

Thanks for the link, but to be frankly honest I hate that type of shit. I got a special type of disrespect for people who can go on and on with all these little jokes they made up about how terrible something is while also demonstrating that they clearly don't understand the thing. Not only does he get many details wrong (co-star D'Urville Martin is credited as director, not Rudy Ray Moore), but he makes fun of scenes that he obviously didn't watch very closely because he didn't understand what was going on. For example he doesn't understand that Dolemite is insulting the prison by tearing off their clothes and then is mad because his ladies bought him the wrong type of clothes. He don't wear no cotton drawers.

This is clearly a great scene, and the only reason somebody could not like it would be because they were biased because they enjoy rat soup and were offended that Dolemite insulted people who eat rat soup in another scene.

But I must admit I'm also biased against cracked.com because they kissed my ass asking me for a Seagalogy piece, then rewrote it to insult Seagal (and for some reason Stallone), then when I politely emailed my concerns they didn't respond and also never paid me.

In conclusion, cracked.com is an insult to the proud legacy of Cracked Magazine.
