Even the idea of "a highly trained team" seems sort of off. I don't play the game, but what's wrong with a lone man fighting off hordes of monsters in an enclosed facility? It could have been like Die Hard. BUT WITH MONSTERS! What is wrong with Hollywood?!

Y'know the "team of fully trained, non-asshole marines"-problem is what ruined the movie for me in the first place. These guys were the worst "team" I've ever seen in a movie! One of the things that I like most about "Aliens" is thatwe can seriously feel that they all went more than once to hell and back together and would give their lives for each other. But the Marines in "Doom" are constantly bitching, cheating and only concerned about saving their own asses.
What ruined it for me in the second place was the finale. Even if the POV sequence was cool, the movie should have ended with a fight against a fucking big monster or something like that, and not with a fistfight between two men (even if they both had superpowers).
