It's a common suggestion that you put an ice pack on a body part that has been injured and/or swollen but I've never found that to be particularly effective. Mostly because ice packs can be cumbersome and if you use ice cubes wrapped in a towel the edges of the ice cubes tend to poke at your injury which usually seems to irritate it more. If you have an injury in your foot then it becomes even more cumbersome. This is why I came up with the idea of the Frozen Sock. It's an ice pack in the shape of a sock that you keep in the freezer and if you have an injury, just slip it on, kick your feet up, and relax.
